Newton Renfro, Echo Editor, Retires
Information received has been verified by Diane Wootton, the publisher of the Echo, that Echo Editor, Newton Renfro has retired.
According to the most recent Echo, Ms. Wootton is now the General Manager and Editor, Patsy Palacios is now the publisher, and James Lee is listed as Staff Writer.
Good riddance to a man that many of us in Helotes had experienced as unethical, dishonest, and unkind. I’m sure it won’t take Pat Wootton and his developer friends long to find another mouthpiece though.
