An Evening with Former Texas Ranger H. Joaquin Jackson
The Helotes Historical Society proudly presents an evening with former Texas Ranger H. Joaquin Jackson at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, 14889 Old Bandera Road, Helotes.
Ranger Jackson is a noted award-winning author, actor, historian, storyteller, colorful speaker, and iconic figure of the Texas Rangers. He has written two books: One Ranger: A Memoir and One Ranger: Returns, finalist for the Western Writers of America Spur Award and featured in Texas Monthly.
Jackson will share his fascinating life and times as a Texas Ranger from 1963 to 1993. He will also reflect on and honor the history of his beloved Rangers of yesteryear and salute all who serve and protect the laws and Texan’s today.
There will be a Q&A time and audience participation toward the end of his presentation. Autographed copies of his books will also be available for purchase.
