EDC Agenda for September 16, 2009
The next Economic Development Corporation’s (EDC) Board of Directors meeting will be held at City Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Their agenda contains the following items.
They will hold a public hearing on the adoption of their FY 2010 budget.
The Consent Agenda includes: approval of the minutes of their last meeting; approval of the monthly Revenue and Expenditure Report; and approval of an agreement for professional services between the EDC and Young Professional Resources for an amount NTE $15,000.
Next on the agenda is discussion and action regarding the Old Town Helotes Special District Master Plan – Phase One capital improvement projects, to include project management; funding, design, engineering, and construction of said projects; and ratification of the following revisions/change orders:
1. Drainage at north end of Bandera Road totaling $14,243.77;
2. Add additional parking on corner of Old Bandera Road and Riggs Road totaling $7,495.19;
3. Improvements on Hultz property to allow ingress/egress totaling $11,230;
4. Gateway sign changes totaling $2,495.75;
5. Remove Myfe Moore’s planter and add head-in parking (no dollar amount listed); and
6. Add head-in parking across from Floore Dr., add flush curbing in front of Floore’s Country Store, and realign parking at the Cunningham property (again no dollar amount listed).
Next is discussion and action on a resolution by the EDC Board of Directors approving their FY 2010 budget.
Discussion and action on the following special events to be held in Old Town:
1. Holiday parade, and
2, Dedication ceremony celebrating the completion of the Phase One capital improvement projects in Old Town.
Discussion and action on current commercial development projects within the City of Helotes.
The last agenda item is the Economic Development Specialist’s report to the Board. Subjects he will report on include: selection of an EDC Director; the new Helotes phonebook; Oper8 software; HAMBA, and The MarketPlace at Old Town Helotes.
