City Council Agenda for September 10, 2009
The agenda for the next City Council meeting will include:
Another public hearing on the Economic Development Corporation’s FY 2010 budget.
On the consent agenda, a request for more interdepartmental budget adjustments totalling $17,867.62. Money will be transferred from Special Events, Salaries, City Engineer, and Street Improvements accounts into Advertising, Municipal Court Judges, Operating Supplies, and Parks and Recreation accounts.
Also on the consent agenda is the immediate issuance of a request for proposal for municipal towing and wrecker services for the City of Helotes. (Once again, the City is requesting bids on a service that has not even been discussed by Council. To me, it seems backwards to go out for bids when Council hasn’t even decided if it is interested in obtaining a contract for towing and wrecker services for the City. They did the same thing when they requested bids for a fueling station on municipal property without prior discussion on Council.)
The only item on the agenda for individual consideration is a discussion of the proposed City budget for FY 2010. (I’m anxious to see how long the Mayor will let the Council members speak on the budget this time.)
The meeting will be held at City Hall at 7 p.m.
