Bull Riding Benefit for Injured Rodeo Cowboy
Kolt Miller, 28, is a fourth generation rodeo cowboy who has been in rodeos from the time he could walk. His grandfather was Allen Larremore, a long-time resident of Helotes.
On January 18, 2011, Kolt was injured at the Fort Worth Extreme Bull Riding Competition. His neck was broken. The doctors have told his mother that he is lucky to be alive. He has a long recovery ahead of him, and his friends and family here in Helotes are trying to help with his mounting medical expenses, as he has no insurance.
On Sunday, May 15, 2011, at 3 p.m., at the Helotes Festival Arena on Leslie Road, there will be a Bull Riding Benefit held in Kolt’s honor. Everyone is invited to come out and see some great bull riding, eat some good food, and participate in a silent auction.
Tickets are $5 at the gate; children 5 and under get in free. All proceeds will go to the Kolt Miller Fund. Donations can also be made at any Capitol One Bank. Just tell them it is for the Kolt Miller Donation Fund.
