Fierce Spring Storm Flies Through Helotes
Winds of 50 to 60 miles per hour accompanied a spring storm that went through Helotes Wednesday night.
A large old oak tree on Bar X Trail was uprooted by the wind and rain and fell, completely blocking the street for about 12 hours until the City could remove it.
As seen in the photo above, in the roots of the old tree there were three or four Falstaff beer cans. Any guess as to how long they had been there?
