Helotes Area Student Recognized
Talha Siddiqi is one of two 7th graders at TMI, The Episcopal School of Texas, who received recognition by the Duke University Talent Identification Program.
Duke identifies academically talented 7th graders based on standardized test scores achieved while attending elementary or middle school. Candidates complete either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Assessment college entrance examination, and Duke provides them with comparative information on their achievement on the test.
State recognition honors 7th graders who have earned scores equal to or better than half of the college-bound seniors who took the tests.
Siddqi is a member of the National Junior Honor Society at TMI. He is the son of Dr. Aamir and Ghazala Siddiqi of Helotes (Sonoma Ranch).
Founded in 1893, TMI is a private, co-educational college-preparatory school for grades 6 through 12, with optional Junior ROTC and boarding programs. For information, visit www.tmi-sa.org or call 698-7171.
