Please Don’t Litter Helotes!
In an effort to support the community and help reach a no-kill 2012 goal for area shelters, the Helotes Humane Society (HHS) proudly offers their Northwest Big Fix Program. This program is largely funded by a generous grant from an anonymous donor of the San Antonio Area Foundation along with additional funds from the HHS.
Kitten and puppy season is upon us. Be part of the solution and get your cats and dogs spayed and neutered at a very low cost or free to those on limited incomes. In fact, the HHS has announced that these procedures are absolutely free to pitbulls and feral cats.
Since the program began, 155 animals have been “altered.” The ultimate goal of the Northwest Big Fix is to provide 500 low cost/free spay/neuters to the Bexar County community by August 1, 2010.
To apply for a low cost spay/neuter certificate, please visit www.hhsanimals.org, email to hhsbigfix@yahoo.com, or call 210-422-6242. All surgeries are done in Boerne at the Hill Country Animal League.
